Oil Tank From Basement With Limited Space
The customer was working on a large estate restoration and had asked us to decommission and remove a 9000l steel oil tank located in the basement. This turned out to be an interesting job as access was limited to and old coal shoot and once in the basement there was not a lot of room.
After setting up extraction equipment our technicians got to work on removing the waste gas oil left in the tank. Once all liquid is removed a hatch is made and the roof carefully removed using our pneumatic nibblers allowing better ventilation and access into the tank. Once inside the sludge is removed and the tank fully dried ready for cutting.
Our technicians then cut away each wall and removed the steel via a manual hoist set up at the top of the coal shoot. As the tank was basement with limited space towards the end gets a little tricky as to cut the final 2 walls and floor the tank must be pulled from its place. 10minutes later and a bit of muscle used the tank is out and the last bits cut away and removed. Leaving a nice clean area and with a happy client our job was complete.
